18-55IS compared to the 18-55 kit lens.

Must say I am still amazed and shocked how sharp this lens is, the leap in sharpness and detail from the kit lens is incredible. I had to do the test twice just for my eyes to believe what I was seeing!

I believe I have a very poor performing kit lens (bad copy). A few people out there are questioning how bad the kit lens looks in this sample, I agree it looks terrible! But I don't think i've done anything wrong to give a fair comparison. (focus locked in same area, tripod mounted, timer activated to counter any shake due to pressing shutter etc.)
